PARENTS
Relationships are the heart of the Reggio Emilia philosophy; therefore ABC Creativity Center values parents as not only children’s “first” teachers, but as active participants in their growth and development. It truly takes a village.
We value the community feel where parents and children know one another.
“There’s Jane’s mom’s car! Jane, your mom is here.” or “Can John come to my house sometime?” are typical comments to be heard around pick up by the preschoolers.
There are constant conversations among parents during pick up regarding how “Billy” feels today, or if “Amber” has learned a new trick yet, or even support provided from one parent to another on struggles they are facing with kids at home.
To help foster this community feel, there is a private Facebook page for ABC families where we post pictures of student learning, upcoming announcements, or allow for families to reach out to each other if they are having a birthday party or special event they’d like their friends to attend. Simply have a current ABC Creativity Center family member add you to the group’s page once you’re a part of our community.
Newsletters for preschoolers will be posted at the center.
STAFF
ABC Creativity Center staff have degrees varying in different subject areas from psychology, early childhood, to music and special ed. All teachers are licensed by the City of Boise and attend numerous childcare education classes throughout the year, including certification in pediatric CPR and First Aid.
All staff are dedicated to the well-being and development of the children. Like many educators, we wear various hats. We are learning facilitators, caretakers, meal preppers, counselors, motivators, nurses, and more! We know your kiddos well, so feel free to talk to us about any concerns or questions at any time.
